Kades is well worth the short taxi ride from Potsdam, and can easily be combined with a visit to Cecilienhof. A wonderful experience with an &quot;out in the country&quot; feel. The weather didn&#39;t cooperate during our visit, but it appeared that there was some stunning outdoor dining space when the weather is fair. Really knowledgeable service (we had an idea we were being served by the owner, although that seems unlikely). Highly recommend!

The service was great and the staff really friendly, we didn&#39;t speak Germany but we managed to understand each others,just wish there was an English menu for tourists

Fine dining only a couple blocks from the Mercure Hotel. We ordered off the specials menu on the chalkboard. The fresh fish was filleted at the table. The Riesling wine was great. The service was impeccable.

I have to say I had no idea about this place, so it was all a surprise as I went along as i didn&acute;t expect anything like it. It was so interesting to stop by and enjoy a tea while observing all the decor and people there. I will say go in and enjoy this place. It was cloudy and rainy the day I went there but there is also a garden for a sunny day.

After a nice tour of Sanssouci, we visited Kades for a very satisfying dinner. The restaurant is nice with outdoor patio seating, though some of the furniture seems a bit dated and definitely don&#39;t pay attention to the paintings on the walls. Nevertheless, the menu has some nice local offerings and the service was very friendly and professional. The nicely portioned dishes were all very well prepared and very tasty without being overly salty or drowned in sauce. The price is very acceptable which makes the dinner excellent in value. Definitely worth a visit when in Potsdam.
